NEW SICK LEAVE REGULATIONS   14.03.14
Minister Howlin  signed the Public Service Management (Sick Leave) Regulations 2014, including for members of an Garda Síochána, with effect from 31st March 2014. The main provisions are:- Max 92 days full-pay in 12 month period; - followed by max 91 days 1/2 pay in a 12 month period, subject to an overall max of 183 days’ paid in a 4 year period. - For critical illness or injury, max 183 days on full pay in a 1 year period, followed by 182 days on 1/2 pay, subject to overall maximum of 365 days’ paid sick leave in a 4-year period. - Where sick pay is exhausted Temporary Rehabilitation Remuneration (TRR) will be paid to not exceed 365 days.
