The Association's Central Executive Committee has agreed that it will not agree any changes to the current Pilot Roster until after a ballot of our membership is held.

The result of the GRA Ballot of members on the Lansdowne Road Proposals was:Turnout: 60%; For: 10.9%; Against: 86.5%. Following the rejection of the proposals the GRA Executive met on 03-11-15 more here

NEW SICK LEAVE REGULATIONS   14.03.14
Minister Howlin  signed the Public Service Management (Sick Leave) Regulations 2014, including for members of an Garda Síochána, with effect from 31st March 2014. The main provisions are:- Max 92 days full-pay in 12 month period; - followed by max 91 days 1/2 pay in a 12 month period, subject to an overall max of 183 days’ paid in a 4 year period. - For critical illness or injury, max 183 days on full pay in a 1 year period, followed by 182 days on 1/2 pay, subject to overall maximum of 365 days’ paid sick leave in a 4-year period. - Where sick pay is exhausted Temporary Rehabilitation Remuneration (TRR) will be paid to not exceed 548 days.(TRR = No Service) Further details

Enhanced GRA salary protection plan july 2015
The GRA has launched a new enhanced Salary Protection Plan with effect from 1st July 2015.
The new GRA Salary Protection Plan guarantees income of a minimum of 75% of pensionable earnings (inclusive of any other sick pay or state benefit) for the entire duration of a members' Sick Leave absence & where applicable up to the member's normal retirement age.
 This could mean guaranteed earnings of 75% for over 30 years!
