With three days to go - Ballot Papers on the LRC proposals must be returned to our Auditors by Thurs. 20th June - all members are urged to use their vote & return same now. The Proposals protect members’ pay, premium pay & allowances for the lifetime of the Agreement; & also address our long - standing call for the establishment of an independent Commission / Review to put in place a mechanism for negotiating Garda pay & conditions.

Following intensive discussions chaired by Mr. Kieran Mulvey, Chief Executive LRC from Thurs 9th May to Sun. 12th May, agreement in principle was reached on proposals to find savings in the Garda budget whilst  maintaining the GRA position that members’ pay, premia & allowances must be protected. The Association's Executive Committee, on Tuesday 14th May 2013, decided to recommend acceptance of these proposals on a ballot of its membership.
