SUMMARY OF ROSTER PROPOSALS
These Rosters contain:
- 5 units over 10 weeks
- 6 days on and 4 days off
- All tours 10 hours except Sunday which are 8 hrs.
- 2 Rest Breaks (1 x 45 mins + 1 x 15 mins) within each 10 hour tour

- Annual leave will, as now, be based in days - no change to leave regs on this (03/02/12)
- Allowances will continue to be paid on a four weekly basis
- 40 hours per week
Start/Finish Times for Core Units Only,
Earlies: 7am to 5pm Mon to Sat and 7am to 3pm Sun
Lates: 3pm to 11pm on
Sun 12 mid to 10pm Mon to
Weds 3pm to 1am on
Thur 5pm to 3am Fri and Sat.
Nights: 9pm to 7am on Mon to
Sat 11pm to 7am on Sun
- Some issues to be finalised in Working Time Agreement
- Equal number of earlies, lates and nights.
- 14 days’ notice, to apply nationwide, to notify of change of start-time under specific circumstances within the definition of a tour (to a max of 15 changes of start-times per member per annum)
- Annual Leave based on full district resources and I.T. based. In all cases to be granted by District Officer only.
- Management’s negotiators have withdrawn the “Reverse Country Roster” proposal
- The new roster must be supported by appropriate technology.
- The Association at all times sought a three month lead-in time, however the Gda Commr. has advised that the
nationwide Pilot will commence on 30th April 2012
- The Non-Core Roster includes everyone outside of 24/7 frontline; Detectives; & administration designated post and ex-gratia posts.
Nothing is agreed until everything is agreed
i.e. including Non-Core Roster & Working Time Agreement
