Mr. P.J. Stone, General Secretary, Garda Representative Association.
Association Overview This Website is primarily intended as an additional service to the
over 11,600 members of the Garda Representative Association and its retired personnel. The Association, founded 32 years ago, will as this Site grow, adapt and change in order to utilise all
available new elements in order to provide a first class service to its membership.
Mission Statement The ethos of the Garda Representative Association is that
collectively we can provide what individually we often cannot attain. It came into being as a vehicle to pursue collectively the best interests of all members of Garda Rank, in the areas of Pay,
Welfare, Conditions and Services. These Objectives remain the primary focus of the Garda Representative Association and the Association will strive into the future to continue this ethos
professionally and compassionately with a tremendous sense of responsibility and pride in our chosen profession, the Garda Síochána.
Association Background The Association was formed in 1978,
on the emergence of the GRA and the Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors on the dissolution of the Representative Body for Guards.
